Team Profile: Leicester City FC

In the hopes of getting to know the Premier League better and maybe make your choice of a team a little easier, (that is if you're not gonna root for Tottenham, which you totally should), I will give a brief team profile and history as well as a prediction as to where the team will place this season.

Today we have Leicester City FC! 

Nickname: The Foxes
Stadium: King's Power Stadium
Rivals: Nottingham Forest, Derby County

History: 

      Leicester City were founded in 1884 known as the "Leicester Fosse". In 1890 the club would join the Football Association and began playing in the Division Two Football League for many years. Finally, in 1907-08 season the Foxes were promoted to the top league of English Football, but only lasted one season before being relegated. The 1970's saw fortunes turn for the Foxes when finally, after nearly a decade in Division Two, they were promoted to the Premier League and would stay for 6 years, (their longest stint in the First Division).  Leicester have been Division Two champions 7 times and are now enjoying their 2nd consecutive year in the Premier League.

Last Season:

      Leicester held on to their Premier League spot in dramatic fashion last season. After a spell of 13 straight weeks without a win, followed by another 8 week stint, it looked inevitable that Leicester were looking at relegation, but after winning 6 of their last 8 games and tying 1, the Foxes escaped, rather miraculously, and are entering their 2nd season in the top league!

This Season:

      I predict that Leicester will not be able to stave off relegation a second year.
